Sandhya Nagabhushan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a deep commitment to holistic, evidence-based therapy. She brings a wealth of experience to her work, holding certifications in both Substance Abuse Counseling and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Her clinical practice is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a genuine dedication to each client’s well-being.
Sandhya has worked extensively with local universities, where she supported students facing challenges related to trauma, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence. Her work in these settings has informed her trauma-informed approach and strengthened her ability to hold space for individuals navigating complex emotional experiences.
In her private practice, Sandhya integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with other evidence-based modalities to meet clients where they are. She takes a strengths-based approach, helping clients build insight, develop coping strategies, and make meaningful behavioral changes aligned with their personal goals. She is also currently pursuing certification in Gottman Method Couples Therapy to deepen her work with partners and families.
